Out Lot Burn Notice

PRESCRIBED FIRE NOTICE

This notice is to inform you that McGinty Bros., Inc. has been contracted to complete a controlled burn of a natural area within a quarter mile of this location.

Controlled burns are an important part of maintaining a natural area’s health and biodiversity. 

The safety of your property and surrounding

properties is our top priority. To confirm that the

controlled burn is safe, we have received all

necessary permits and approval from both the Illinois EPA and local fire departments. We also have a certified Prescribed Burn Manager on site to ensure every step of the process is done properly and safely.


Depending on weather and site conditions, the

prescribed burn will take place between November 1st and April 30th. This is considered the typical burn season window and the best time to perform prescribed burns. The burn will likely take place for a few hours between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
 

You will see and smell smoke during the burn.

If you have any respiratory issues, you may want to consider making arrangements to leave the area during the scheduled burn.
