Announcing the return of our Community Garage Sale!  We had an incredible turnout for our last event with over 25 homes participating, and we are hoping to see even more this time around.

There is serious power in numbers! A large, multi-home event acts as a magnet for bargain hunters, drawing significantly more traffic and visibility to our neighborhood than any single driveway sale could on its own.

What Walkup HOA Will Provide:

• Signage:

  • Large banner by brick monument on Walkup Ave​

  • Regular garage sale signs at entry points to the neighborhood, calling out 'multi-home sale'​​

• Advertising

  • Ads will cite a multi-home sale and will flag location as the entry on Walkup Ave across from Veteran's Acres.

  • Ads will include physical flyers at local businesses, FB Marketplace, Craigslist, Garage Sale Finder, and more. ​

• Permit Support

  • You fill out the permit form, the HOA will submit to Crystal Lake Police Dept and then deliver the actual permit to your home before the sale.

• Sale Maps

  • Printed and digital maps for shoppers to easily find all sales in the community

 

How to Participate

1. Email walkuphoa@gmail.com with your address by end of day Sunday, June 21

2. Acquire Crystal Lake Garage Sale Permit

   • Complete City of Crystal Lake Garage Sale Permit Form and

     • send to walkuphoa@gmail.com by end of day Sunday, June 14
       ...OR...

     • take it yourself to Crystal Lake City Hall / Police Department

3. Spread the word!  

   • Share maps with shoppers that visit your sale (printouts and links will be delivered to all sale homes before Fri June 26).

   • Do your own advertising (If you wish to use the verbiage, imagery, etc. the HOA will be using, that will be provided here on the site soon.  Feel free to create your own!​

* General ads and signage will point to a timeframe of Fri-Sun, 8am-4pm.  Individual home sales can vary days/times as you see fit.
